What We Believe

That the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God. (2 Peter 1:20-21)

That there is only one true God, who has revealed Himself in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17)

That all people are sinful and, as a result, separated from God (Romans 3:23, James 2:10)

That God the Father’s love for us moved Him to put the punishment for our sin upon His Son, Jesus. (John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21)

That by His suffering and death on the cross, Jesus made full payment for our sins. (Hebrews 2:17)

That Jesus rose from the dead on Easter morning and later ascended into heaven. (John 20, Acts 1:1-11)

That God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21, Romans 10:9-10, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

That God’s gifts of forgiveness, eternal life, and salvation come to us, in His Church, through the Means of Grace: His Word and His Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (Romans 1:16, Matthew 26:28, 1 Peter 3:21)

That forgiveness and eternal life are offered freely by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and not by good works. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

That Jesus will return on the Last Day to judge both the living and the dead. On that day, He will receive all those who believe in Him. However, those who reject the Christian faith will be eternally separated from God. (Matthew 24:44, Matthew 25:31-32,Matthew 25:41)

That the Christian, in response to God’s love, seeks to worship Him with other Christians, desires to study God’s Word on a regular basis, and serve our fellow man. (Hebrews 10:25, Galatians 6:10, Colossians 3:16)
