Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is a free, confidential care and support ministry for people who are hurting in life. A Stephen Minister is a lay person who has been trained in the area of care ministries to offer a ears to listen, a shoulder to cry on, and hands to fold in prayer. Stephen Ministers do not offer advice or counsel, but Christian care and support as they walk along beside you as you struggle.

Lutheran Women in Mission (LWML)

The LWML is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For over 65 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions. It has as its “mission heart” thousands of volunteers who are daily dedicating their lives to making a difference in this world, which happens on global, national, district and local levels. Mission Work

Global Missions

The Kansas District has partnered with LCMS World Missions in order to support four missionaries and their families in Guinea West Africa. Beautiful Savior, as part of the KS District, specifically supports one of those missionary families – Tim and Beth Heiney. The Heiney’s work involves leadership training, project coordination and volunteer coordination among the Manika people. Local Mission Opportunities

Beautiful Savior is involved in monthly mission projects which are designed to meet the physical needs of people in our Kansas City community. We also seek to provide a clear proclamation of the Gospel with each act of care and mercy. [Our Preschool collects empty ink jet cartridges and UPC codes from Campbell labels, etc. as an ongoing fundraiser. Collection boxes are located upstairs and down. Thank you for your support!
