Munchies and Missions
"Willing Hands"
Join us on Thursday, April 16th at 7:00 pm
downstairs in the education wing. We will have appetizers
to munch on and drinks while we work on some “Willing
Hands” mission projects! The projects include:
- Making / laminating place mats for a local nursing
home
- Making / sewing the pockets on fleece blankets for
the Linus Project for patients at Children’s
Mercy Hospital (sewing machine provided)
- Cutting fabric squares for quilts for Lutheran World
Relief
- Working on prayer shawls (We have yarn – bring
your knitting needles or crochet hooks or your project
in progress!)
Please bring sewing / scrapbooking scissors or quilting
cutting systems if you have them. Join us for good food

Showers: Safehome"
 APRIL
SHOWERS: This month we’ll be “showering”
Safehome with much needed paper products and other supplies.
Safehome is a non-profit shelter for abused women and
their children here in Johnson County. Please place
paper towels, toilet paper and new or gently
used spring/summer children’s clothing
in the wooden collection box in the narthex lobby through
the end of April. They would also gladly accept donations
of used cell phones. The phones are refurbished
by a reputable company and then distributed to their
clients. Thank you for your help – because everyone
deserves a safe place to call home.

an ease that is breathtaking. I’ve seen her in

Pakistan to Saudi Arabia to Canada to Michigan…a
missionary from the east who traveled west to the United
States to share the Good News.
